- Northwest Battle of the Bands Championships at Green Lake's Aqua Theater, Monday, August 8 1966 . Performances by Don & the Goodtimes, Merrilee & the Turnabouts, The Sonics, George Washington & the Cherrybombs, The Bumps, The Live Five, Jack Horner & the Famous Plums, Dusty Springfield, and Sam Sham & the Pharaohs. The audience votes for the champion. The price was $2 (about $14.50 today), or $3.50 (about $25 today) for a front row seat.
- Tuesday Night All-City Dance at Parker's on Aurora, from 9:00 PM- 12:30 AM. The Canterbury Tales and The Emergency Exit "in their first north-end appearance". The cost was described as "regular prices".
